Yellow Chidiya started as a journey to make handcrafted accessories as a tool for self-expression by two sisters – Priyanka and Mittali Thakkar; today we are a haven for handcrafted earrings, necklaces and our all our unique variants of bohemian dreamcatchers.

Playful mix of colors combined with designs that are refreshing yet soothing on the eyes while showcasing the unique individual taste - this is what gets us at Yellow Chidiya excited.

A combination of a bright ray of sunshine and the freedom of a little bird, we at Yellow Chidiya have always aimed at being the mood lifters, a dash of playful colours and a vibrant spirit. Be it home décor, accessories to jazz up your look or just gorgeous trinklets one carries around; we have made sure that every of our product gets the same amount of love, care and thought before we showcase it to the world. 

Founders

Priyanka Thakkar

Started her career as an advertising professional, where she handled major clients like GJEPC, Perfetti and ACC. She was also a key member of the 3-member team that handled the PR for India’s first and largest jewellery show – IIJW. This, stemmed her initial interest in jewellery and especially the native art forms from India like Dokra art, Terracotta and Tanjore jewellery. 

Inspired by these art forms, Priyanka went on to try her hands on designing a few pieces herself and gave it to close friends and family. The love she got for the art she created was the fuel she needed to get started with Yellow Chidiya - a name symbolic of her personality which has translated into what the brand is today.

Mittali Thakkar

Heading operations, Mittali took Yellow Chidiya to new heights right after college. She is not limited by her speech and hearing impairment and instead uses it as her driving force to immerse herself in art and the beauty of the world around her. 

The brain behind the Dream Catchers at Yellow Chidiya, Mittali weaved the bohemian good vibes into earrings, keychains and home accessories. Her unique ability to talk to anyone and understand what their unique tastes are has made her a star at exhibitions and on our Instagram page.
